This Museum of Science, Technology, and Arts is perfect for children of all ages. The Exploratorum features hundreds of hands-on exhibits that explore physics, biology, human perception, and more.

Tickets are $39.95 for adults and $29.95 for youth ages 4-17. Children under 4 are free. Discounts are available for teachers, disabled and seniors. AAM and ASTC reciprocal museum. Admission is included in the San Francisco CityPass.

Golden Gate Park

No visit to San Francisco is complete without a visit to the Golden Gate Park! Golden Gate Park is the largest park in SF and the third most-visited urban park in the USA!

California Academy of Sciences

Located in Golden Gate Park, the California Academy of Sciences is a research institute and natural history museum and is one of the largest natural history museums in the world with over36 millions specimen and artifacts.

Admission varies depending on date but is roughly $40-45 for adults and $30-15 for children ages 3-17. Children under 3 is free. Admission is included in the San Francisco CityPass.

San Francisco Zoo & Gardens

Home to over 2,000 exotic, endangered, and rescued animals, the San Francisco Zoo offers a wild experience in the heart of the city.

$31 for adults and $22 for children (ages 2-11), admission is slightly cheaper on weekdays and for San Francisco residents. Parking is $13 on weekends, $11 on weekdays. Children under 2 are free. Admission is included in the San Francisco CityPass.

Children’s Creativity Museum

An interactive art and technology museum for kids, this space encourages creativity through multimedia and hands-on learning experiences, ideal for children ages 2-12.

Admission is $20 for everyone ages 1 and up.

Crissy Field

Enjoy stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, and take advantage of the beach and picnic areas,, or just have the kids run around and get some energy out. It’s also a perfect spot for family photos!

Pier 39

This bustling waterfront marketplace has so much to do from shopping, dining, family attractions, street performers, and more! Also, the SEA LIONS are a family favorite and kids can’t get enough of watching them!

Free to walk around and watch sea lions, but many things cost extra, including parking.

Aquarium of the Bay

Located at the edge of Pier 39 in San Francisco, the Aquarium of the Bay is home to over 24,000 marine animals!

Ticket prices vary by date, but are roughly $35 per adult and $25 per child. Children under 4 are free. Reciprocal benefits through AZA. Admission is also included in the San Francisco CityPass.

Cable Car Museum

Discover the history of San Francisco’s iconic cable car system at this museum, which is also a functioning cable car barn. Kids will enjoy seeing the actual cables at work.
