The Florida Aquarium

Rated #10 on our Top 10 Best Aquarium’s in the USA list, the Florida Aquarium has a lot to offer!

One of the best features of the Florida Aquarium is the 500,000-gallon Coral Reef habitat with panoramic views of sea life as a well as a large simulated wetlands environment, There’s also a splash pad for kids to enjoy!

Ticket pricing varies depending on date selection but is roughly $35 per person. Children 2 and under are free. Admission is included with the Tampa Bay City Pass.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Spend a day at this fun Amusement park with thrilling roller coasters, animal encounters, live entertainment, and more! Perfect for families with teens or families with kids of a variety of different ages!

Single-day tickets are $139.99 but there are often sales, discounts, and Groupon offers. Admission is also included in the Tampa CityPass which is roughly $144 per person for the pass and includes admission to Busch Gardens, The Florida Aquarium, ZooTampa, and more so it’s a great deal if you plan to do a lot of things in Tampa!

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is a great visit for a family-friendly activity! With over 1,000 animals to see, there’s something to see for every animal lover!

Admission is $44.95 for adults and $34.95 for children ages 3-11. Children under 3 are free. Admission is included with the Tampa Bay City Pass.

Glazer Children’s Museum

Located in downtown Tampa, this museum offers hands-on learning experiences across multiple themed areas and fun exhibits, designed to stimulate young minds and provide playful learning.

Admission is $18 for ages 1+. Admission is included with the Tampa Bay City Pass.

Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI)

Enjoy this hands-on science museum has plenty of interactive exhibits and hands-on play that is perfect for kids to learn science through play!

There are so many fun exhibits and special events that happen at the Museum of Science and Industry!

General admission is $14 for adults and $10 for children, with additional fees for special exhibits. Admission is included with the Tampa Bay City Pass.

Adventure Island

Check out Tampa’s largest Water Park which is right next to Busch Gardens! Adventure Island offers water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, and other water-themed attractions perfect for cooling off in Florida’s hot climate.

Single-day tickets start at around $89.99, but there are often sales and special offers so make sure to check their website and buy in advance. You can also buy a two day ticket if you plan to do Busch Gardens, Aquatica, or Sea World if you are planning to hit more than one amusement park.

Tampa Riverwalk

This 2.6 mile pedestrian trail along the Hillsborough River links several parks, museums, and restaurants. It’s perfect for a family stroll or bike ride, with plenty of scenic views and stops along the way.

Manatee Viewing Center

Head over to the Manatee View Center in Apollo Beach and see Manatees in their natural habitat! Manatees will head north in the winter months and you can often see so many!

Keep in mind that this is a seasonal attraction is open from November 1st to April 15th, but the best time to visit would most likely be January and February to see so many Manatees!

The Manatee Viewing Center is FREE!
